Peavey EQ-215

This unit has been in my main guitar rack for years. It has only been
removed for cleaning or for servicing the actual rack. It's never
needed
a repair, and will be cleaned & tested again before it's sold.
It's always functioning when the rack is operational, and it has
provided many years of great use to me. It's an older model.
It's not perfect, but from all indications seems to work fine &
has
never caused any difficulties w/my system.
Some Features:
*Dual 15-band graphic. Center detent faders.
*Has +/- 6 or 12 db switch (very useful for me)
*Low-cut & Hi-cut switch on each channel
(most units like this only have the Low-cut switch)
*EQ bypass switch (both channels)
Multiple in's/out's 1/4" unbalanced, XLR's etc.
A great EQ unit to add to a rack you're building, but don't want
to
spend NEW gear prices. This thing is TOUGH. It's VERY sturdy. It's
not
the softer noisy chassis like that of the MP1's and others. This is
a fairly
HEAVY unit with chunky fader knobs, and FIRMLY mounted
connectors. No rattling, and nothing loose. If you want a work-horse
unit for that rehearsal room mixer/PA, this would be an inexpensive
addition.

Digitech DSP 256 XL
This is a fully functional Multi-Effects-Processor w/MIDI.
Much better than the 256, the "XL" has additional chains,
NICE
algorithms & more delay time. I recently replaced the internal
battery. I have an extra (hard to find) that will come with it.
I use this for specific delays in patches where I'm using my
MidiVerb-4 for the reverb. Other than having to replace the
battery, NEVER had a problem. Everything is perfect/quiet.
Some Features:
*MIDI mapping / SYSEX features
*Many chain/combo effects & GREAT sounding single patches
*Totally user-programmable & Lots of user storage
*Easy to program from scratch, or editing from preset(s)
*Separate STEREO in/out, or use it in MONO for your amp-loop
*Auto panning and other STEREO specific effects too!
*All editing is done from the cursor buttons (screen-scrolling). Hit
"store" to save and/or copy to new location. Bypass, mix,
midi, utility
Here's a great feature; part of the menu allows the
user to MIX the
amount of certain effects (in the chain) to dry or others on a 1-10
scale.
This way how much chorus you want in the reverb, or dry signal, etc.
can be determined in some of the patches. Very handy. This would be
a superb unit for acoustic instrument players using amplification.
It's clean
enough [for that], and the delays sound very much like the clean analog
units.
Perfect for vocal channel in that small performance system you're
making
or again; great for rehearsal, or even your practice guitar rig' you
keep
at home. I've done much more than [that] with it. There are a couple
of
specific algorithms which rival other reverbs I've used. There's the
room simulator which has a very natural (no-ping) kind of presence,
and
my favourite on here is the ULTIMATE that can be edited for almost
any use, or any instrument. Tracking drums in a small home studio
you
can get really great (editable) snare rooms for less $$$.

ART Multi-Verb (the original)

YES! An ORIGINAL 20-bit A.R.T. Multi-Verb!
Can you believe I STILL have one of these?! Well, truth is, it mainly
functions as a pitch-shifter for me. It has one of the tightest tracking
parallel pitch-shifters I've used. Seriously. Most of my pitch shifting
is
done with this unit; like "D*RTY W*RDS" (I use another two
along
w/this one in that song), "After She Calls", "Miserlou",
and more. Since
it has the MIDI-mapping feature, it's like a mapped pitch shifter.
It's in
great condition and has never needed a repair, but I can't remember
if
I've changed the internal battery, so that would be a good idea. They're
cheap, and it's easy to do. Put one in the empty slot, then take the
old
one out. That way it doesn't lose what you've saved.
Some Features:
*MIDI mapping / SYSEX features
*Pitch shifting (parallel) with THREE tracking speed options! That
includes semi-tone increments as well as fine & de-tune options.
*SUPER multi-tap delays which can even emulate small-room 'verbs
*Multiple large/med/small reverb algorithms (all editable)
*REVERSE reverb as well (editable)
*Delays, Chorus, Stereo effects, Single, Multi-chain, and the user
can
add individual effects to create your own chain/order when editing
*EQ feature which functions as a variable low-pass filter
*STEREO & MONO operational
*100 preset locations, and 101-200 user storage
*(On-board) MIX faders, Bypass switch
!!! I EVEN HAVE
THE fr*k'n MANUAL !!!
Dry/Effects mix must be done with the on-board fader. Set [that],
then
adjust the amount of effect once you store a patch you made. I have
the
mix-fader set, and it NEVER moves. Again; I mostly use it for pitch-shift
so there's a dry (no effects) patch that the mapper switches to when
it's
not supposed to be running. I'm also using this in MONO as part of
a chain
from my ADA-MP1 send/return loop. What this unit effects in the signal
is returned to the pre-amp via the loop.
This is a 20-bit reverb. It's not meant to be a cheap thing. There
have
been so many units designed since this one, and in its time, it was
WIDELY used by guitar players, and small recording applications, etc.
I LOVE the "MidiVerb-4", and that's an 18-bit reverb. If
you've never
used one of these, and want some fun multi-tap delays, and a tight
parallel pitch-shifter you'll love it. You also get; BIG open space
CLEAN reverbs, gated-'verb, reverse-'verb, Chorus, Flange, Mono
delay, Stereo delay, Regen' delay, even a Stereo Panning effect.
As I stated
!!! I EVEN HAVE
THE fr*k'n MANUAL !!!

Rocktron HUSH 2C

I got this from a student a while back. It replaced my original single
channel HUSH (mono). With my signal-path changes, I no longer use
a HUSH in two places (this is a dual model). I'm putting my old unit
back
in service, so this one's up fo' grabs. [This one] is in better shape.
Like new.
It's not faded. The blur is from the camera flash. It's real clean.
Some Features:
*Dual STEREO HUSH noise reduction.
*Operates as separate mono units (if desired) or stereo link.
*Individual 1/4" in/out jacks for each channel.
*Line/Instrument signal level switching to match unity gain.
*Switchable Slow/Fast filter speed operation.
*Useful with Amps, Heads, Rack, P.A., and/or Recording gear.
The Rocktron HUSH units are single-ended noise reduction (meaning;
there's no encode/decode process to use them). It's not quite a gate,
but
works similar in some ways. You select where you want the unit to
function by setting the FREQUENCY adjustment. The THRESHOLD
determines the level (in db) of depth the reduction "pads"
the signal.
This is not a gate, but has a gate-like filtering by open/close when
signal
levels increase/decrease based on how it's set (threshold). These
are
great for getting rid of that fuzzy "hiss" you sometimes
hear when your rig
is CRANKED even when you're using a gate in the signal path. It can
even get rid of some 60 & 120 that occurs from noisy pickups,
etc.
Put this FIRST in the path before other units in an effects loop,
or
BEFORE any stereo processors if you're using it w/a stereo PA.

(damaged) SWR - SM500

* DAMAGED * AS-IS *
This is Evil-Otto's amp. It was repaired for noise (ok), but the transformer
mow needs to be replaced. If you can FIX it, or know someone who can,
this is well worth making an offer (we don't want much, try us!).
The MSRP is around $16-1700. I've seen 'em used for around $700+.
If you get this for a few $'s, spend a few to have fixed, sell it
& profit.
Some Features:
*500 watts mono/250 watts per channel stereo @ 4 ohms
*SWR tube preamp with Aural Enhancer™
*Master Bass, Treble and Transparency (on the concentric)
*Four-band parametric/graphic EQ, studio-quality
* XLR out with ground lift and level pad (attenuator)
*Built-in Limiter & EFFECTS LOOP with blend control
*Speaker on/off switch for DI and direct out
*Concentric L/R Stereo volume control (operates mono too).
*Speakon and 1/4” outputs
These are REALLY nice amps. That mid/EQ section reminds me
of the MESA's. You can "tune" it to be compatible w/almost
any
speaker cab. In fact, I wish he were still using this one .I love
the
tube sound and it's so clean. You can hear the winding on the strings.
This was used in many rehearsals. I think he did gigs w/this thing,
and
it may be the amp Ed used when he did that record w/his other band?
This is a poor photo, but this thing is cosmetically CLEAN.
**ITEM IS
DAMAGED**
**We were TOLD by the TECH that it needed a transformer.
I do
believe the guy, but the buyer cannot hold us responsible if anything
else is found damaged. It was being repaired for an intermittent noise
and attenuation problem. [That] was supposedly repaired, but the
transformer subsequently blew. If you can fix these or know a place
that can give you a price on it, it's a good deal for the effort.
I have
someone taking a look at it. if HE can fix it, we'll re-list the for-sale
with appropriate description, or sell it elsewhere as fully functional.
It won't be CHEAP if we get it working.

Peavey - CS400 Power Amp

This IS
functioning, but has a minor "issue". Call for details.
This was my ol' standby... now I SAY g'bye.
Always had enough headroom. With 200rms per/ch @4ohms,
this is also strong when running an 8 or 16ohm load. Its always
good to have a little extra headroom. At gigs, rehearsal, I don't
think
I ever clipped it. On the main GEAR
page you can read a story.
Some Features:
*Bi-Amp-able w/the PL-can plug-in options.
*200 watts rms (per channel) @4ohms.
*400 watts rms bridged mono @4ohms.
*Dual speaker outputs with 1/4" - banana plug - screw terminals.
*Dual switchable fan speeds (for thermal)
*Peavey's own DDT compression w/control knob defeat option.
The CS400 was a very popular and widely used amp for many yaers.
Folks w/big-rig bass set-ups and guitarists w/4 cabs (like me) used
these
For an ol' solid-stae heap it's still chiggin' along. It's not the
prettiest face
on tha' block, but she still shows up for the wedding! This thing
would
run continuosly for hours+ without a thermal prob' once the output
section had been refurbished. Read the story
on the gear page.
It's been professionally refurb'd twice on the inside. Connectors
are not what they used to be, but it's great for adding a cheap
upgrade to a bi-amp rig you want to run, building a first PA to
put in your rehearsal room, run it for a monitor amp, or pair it up
with a decent preamp/modelor to make a nice practice amp.

This IS
functioning, but has a minor "issue". Call for details.
