Repairs, set-ups, and limited restoration work has been something
we've
provided (from the work of JSV)
with over 25 years of experience. A long
track record of repeat business and satisfied customers of all
playing levels
from students & hobbyists, to touring professionals. Your
Instrument is in
good hands and cared for. Labor is generally assessed per job
to keep our
fees reasonable and competitive. A "music-store" repair
service may charge
the same (or more in most cases), without the care and
expertise we provide.
The customer is informed of all details to better educate with
our experience.
This also helps us to communicate the next time you may need work
done.
It's important that we both know your instrument better.

PLEASE
FOLLOW AND RESPECT OUR STRICT GUIDELINE
REQUIREMENTS FOR INSTRUMENT SERVICE(s) AND REPAIR.
(As
of 2011)
1. GUITARS, BASS, OR ANY OTHER PORTABLE INSTRUMENT(s) MUST BE
IN A CASE.
Hardshell is always preferred."Gig bags"
are an acceptable alternative. In SOME situations, proprietor
can refuse to store a repair left on premises which is NOT protected
by a HARDshell carrier; depending on value of the "instrument"
or real-time issues with storage back-up.
2.
DEPOSIT MAY BE REQUIRED
ANY repair and/or
customer equipment left with proprietor for service, requiring
and estimated (verbal or otherwise) cost of parts of $50 or more,
MAY require a deposit. Although many repairs do not require a
deposit, nor is [this] always necessary, the proprietor reserves
the right to request customer(s) leave a cash deposit along with
their instrument/repair.
3.
FINAL COST(s) MAY EXCEED ESTIMATE
Some work is extensive, and can be costly. Although most
repairs can be finished UNDER the expected estimate(s), this is
NOT always the case. Often times a repair which EXCEEDS the estimate
may be CLOSE to 15% to 20% above the expected cost(s). If it's
important that you require a WRITTEN estimate before work begins,
PLEASE be clear about that, and we'll accommodate at your request.
Always notify of your COST LIMIT if such a thing applies to your
budget or expectations.
If a repair (or parts for repair/modification) become a
further expense (above expected/estimated costs), customers are
typically notified before work begins/continues, and/or additional
parts are ordered, and/or work to achive desired outcome/results
continues.
4.
STORAGE FEES (of instruments) MAY APPLY!
Due to limited space and typical storage volume, multiple instruments
(or equipment) cannot be kept for long periods of time on the
premises. Once customer is notified that their equipment is ready
for pickup (and job is complete), customer must pay (in full)
and retrieve [their] property within thirty(30) days. Property
left on premises for a period longer than allotted thirty(30)
days, is subject to $15 storage fee; PER thirty(30) day period;
starting with the FIRST day of each 30 day period.
i.e., An instrument/repair left for 31 days beyond notification
of completed work order would THEN be due a $15 storage fee. An
instrument/repair left for 61 days beyond notification would THEN
be due a $30 fee, etc.
